The Surfzone AI team has decades of experience developing ocean monitoring and reporting systems through our parent company, Surfline, which keeps millions of surfers and beachgoers on the pulse of the ocean with forecasts, live condition monitoring, beach cameras, weather stations and more.

For the past several years we have invested in building a next generation camera-as-sensor specifically for the coastal environment. The team and technologies we’ve developed have been so valuable to our consumer product that we decided to make the service more widely available through the Surfzone AI product suite.
